Treatment Packs

The Tuberculosis Treatment Forum has worked in conjunction with leading hospitals and practitioners to develop TB patient information packs. In addition, sputum pots have been made available to screening clinics and centres for respiratory diseases.

The treatment pack is designed to improve the provision of accurate, weight-dependant doses of medicine to patients.

The pack contains weight guides and colour-coded patient information leaflets, which are available in 22 different languages. The colours on the weight guide correspond to the colours

on the patient information leaflet thus ensuring that each patient can receive the right dose and mix of medicines.

Coloured images of the range of tablets are also included to help patients and carers. In addition, start-end date calculators also are provided.

There is no charge for the TB Patient Information Pack, which is readily available from the Tuberculosis Treatment Forum.
